GENERAL
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, INFORMATION & PRECAUTION
UNPACKING : The Amplifier is always completely checked at factory. In case any damage is noticed , immediately take it to the ARCH DEALER form whom you purchased it. Do not discard the carton packing material as this may be useful for future transportation. INSTALLATION : The Amplifier should be installed in dry ventilated & Cool place without placing anything on top or near to Amplifier which will restrict the airflow. The Amplifier should always be kept 10 to 20 cm (6’’) away from the back wall. Amplifier give long life on cool condition. GROUNDING THE UNIT : The chassis of the Amplifier must be grounded by connecting “Earth Terminal’ (see Page3 ) to a water pipe or with Earth Outlet of AC Mains, Complete system including Cassette Player or Booster or any other equipment which is connected with amplifier must be earthed. BEFORE CONNECTING AC MAINS / BATTERY OPERATION : The required Input such as microphones, Cassette Recorder etc. are firmly connected to Mick / Aux input jacks. The volume of Mick / Aux should be turned to ‘0’. The Mick switches are at OFF position. Group / groups of loudspeakers are properly connected to only one combination of impedance at a time. Do not connect some speaker to 70/ 100 V Line and some to 4-8-16 Ohm. Master control should be at ‘O’ position. Bass & Treble controls are also at ‘O’ (FLAT) position. 50-60 Hz, 220-240 Volts AC Connection : The Amplifier runs at 220-240 AC volts,50-60 Hz. Factory connect the Amplifier at 240 volts as it is safe & can absorb heavy voltage fluctuations. 24-26 V DC (BATTERY OPERATION) AS “STAND BY” POWER SOURCE : The Amplifier will also operate from an external DC supply (2x12V car Batteries-in series). DC power connection should be made at the terminal strip marked (24 V DC) on the rear panel .Make sure to connect & observe correct battery polarity. The average current consumption on speech will be 5 amps at rated output. AC/ DC CONNECTIONS TO ENSURE UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE : The Amplifier can be connected to AC supply and 24 V Battery simultaneously with power switch at ‘ON’ position. In such case amplifier will normally draw its power from AC Mains only. The Battery power supply will act as a ‘stand by’ in event of electric failure or AC voltage dropping down. The amplifier will start operating on AC as soon as the AC supply is restored. SELECTION AND USAGE OF MICROPHONES : To obtain maximum power output and best quality performance form the powerful Amplifier, it is necessary that only very high quality and professional grade microphone are used. Only Lo-Impedance microphones (200 to 1000 Ohms) be used. All microphones of Lo-impedance type are perfectly match with this amplifier. if by mistake a microphone of heavy high impedance is used, chocking sound will occur. All mikes & aux. Input are with (6.3 mm, ¼’’) Jack & high quality phone plug should be used. Up to 6 microphones can be connected 4 Mick & 2 Aux. (mic-5 and mic-6). These Jacks have in built shorting switch. The plug must be firmly inserted in jacks to make this switch open the input circuit. AUX-1 & AUX-2 have match able impedance and sensitivity for Cassette Player ,Radio Tuner Mixer, Preamp, Echo Mixer, Organ Synthesizer, Electric Guitar, etc. |
